Two Sundays ago, we found ourselves driving to Binondo at 7:30 in the morning. We were inside the car with these 4 band members who are soon coming out with an EP, Same Old Brand New Junk and we happily obliged to do a photo shoot.

The Charmes chose Binondo for our location. They were drawn to the rich and diverse culture and the stories behind its walls, old meets new. Our second location was The Fort, which reflects their outlook and modern feel. That’s what they are, their lo-fi sound and brand new spunk gives this band a worthy place in the music industry headcount.

The band name speaks for itself. Charm, defined as the power of attractiveness, is best worn by the music that this young band plays whenever they compel ears to listen to their enchanting music.

Formed around late 2006, Brian Josef, JB Bulan, Jerome Abello and Jiggers de Dios has never stopped looking for formulas to further influence their already effective fascinating sound. No one imagined that the most effective form of allurement can be found in one’s garage.

Their single, “Leave the Lights Off” was the former In The Raw Standout Track of the Week for 3 weeks. While “In this Hotel Now” can now be heard on UR 105.9 and Jam 88.3, played along side with The Out of Body Special, Boy Elroy, Up Dharma Down, and Australian Punk band, Not Ok.

They’ve also been interviewed recently by Francis Reyes and Inquirer.net.
